vlume hopes to bring together a large community of people, who will then use their collective bargaining power to try and get better deals for services such as mobile phone subscriptions, broadband access and premium tv packages.

If your need to install a service pack to many remote servers regularly, you'll realise the need for silent installs that just do the work without you having to press next all the time.
Since this information doesn't seem to be available anywhere on the internet, I think I'll supply it.
Here is how to install service pack 2 on Windows 2003 Server, I've included a forced restart (since the patch needs a restart) and I'm also writing a log of the installation process, just in case there are any problems.

Manchester Digitial presents - "Search - What next?"
Check me out, got myself onto a sweet conference about Search and in Manchester too. I have to thank the GeekUp mailing list for the heads up.
Heres a bit of their blurb:
"Everyone uses search engines, and "google" is now an English verb. But what is the future of search? How will new technologies like Web 3.0 change the search market? And how can smaller companies get the best from search?"
I'm not really sure what they mean by Web 3.0, but im sure ill find out. The line up looks fantastic for a free event including:
Mel Carson – Microsoft
Phil Miles - Google
Sean Bechofer – School of Computer Science, University of Manchester
Robin Goad, Hitwise
Yahoo – speaker to be confirmed
Fastwebmedia – speaker to be confirmed
I just need to presuade my boss to give me the day off now. If anyone else in Leeds is going and wants to give me a lift? ;)
